NOT THA ONE

NOT THA ONE is the current evolution of Canadian emcee Evan Tyler (ET). Raw, energetic, lyrical and unafraid to croon, this rhythm is anti-algorithmic and not trending. Complex bars, absurd Canadiana, memoirs of addiction and street knowledge weave through unorthodox and conventional song compositions in part with frequent collaborations with a variety of artists. Sonically: garage-core appendage with live multi-analog vocal treatment (as a way to reject the singularity of an emcee’s voice). Boom-bap, drill, 808, chopped soul, glo-fi and tin cans strung from all directions out the treehouse.

NOT THA ONE is just that: the unending grimy, garage thought, clawing out the internal shape-show of a prairie-born artist; an assembly of personalities weaponized to tell the world back to itself.
